Deanna H. Choi (she/her) is a theatrical sound designer and film composer of Korean descent, based in Tkaronto on Treaty 13 Territory. She has designed sound for plays and musicals across Turtle Island, and her work can be heard this summer at the Stratford Festival (A Wrinkle in Time), the Arts Club in Vancouver (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical), and at the Capitol Theatre in Port Hope (Little Shop of Horrors). Her film scores can be heard on CBC’s The Nature of Things, and soon-to-be-released science fiction comedy, Relax, I’m From The Future starring Rhys Darby. Love You Wrong Time, her two-hander cabaret show about yellow fever, co-created and performed with Maddie Bautista, had a sold-out run in Toronto in April 2023. @deanna.h.choi
